How does All-on-4 work?
Four titanium implants are strategically placed into the jawbone to support a full arch of fixed teeth. The two front implants are placed vertically, and the two back implants are angled to make the most of your existing bone — so a full set of teeth can be supported with just four implants.
Does All-on-4 hurt?
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic, and IV sedation or sleep dentistry is available for added comfort. Most patients report only mild soreness for a few days afterwards, which is easily managed with standard pain relief and our aftercare guidance.
How long does treatment take?
In many cases a temporary set of teeth is fitted on the same day as surgery. The final custom bridge is usually fitted a few months later, once the implants have fully integrated with the bone. Your exact timeline is mapped out at your consultation.
How do you clean and floss All-on-4?
You care for All-on-4 much like natural teeth — brushing twice daily and using specialised floss, interdental brushes or a water flosser to clean around and beneath the bridge. We'll show you the exact technique and recommend the right tools at your fit appointment.
